NTR Junior and Degree College for Women, Gandipet, Hyderabad, organised “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” on 09/12/2021 in collaboration with All India Radio and Doordarshan.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative launched by Ministry of Information Technology, Govt of India in collaboration with All India Radio on the occasion of 75th anniversary of our Independence. The aim of this initiative is to spot and channelize the youth talent.On the day, Director of All India Radio, Shri Uday Shankar visited the campus as it’s Chief Guest, along with Ms. Niharika, Program Officer, All India Radio. There were also two technical teams from All India Radio and Doordarshan working with their equipment to broadcast the show. Elocution competition and Group discussions were held on Women Empowerment, “The New She,” “My personal vision of India” and “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”. The students participated in large numbers and articulated their views. Students from Degree final year: Ms. Asviya, Ms. Sana and from Inter second year: Ms. Chaitanya were chosen by Chief Guest, Shri Uday Shankar to present their ideas on All India Radio platform at their own studio in Assembly.
