75th Independence Day was celebrated at NTR Memorial Trust with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour by hoisting the National Flag and singing national anthem. Flag hoisting and Independence Day celebrations were also held at NTR Model School/College in Gandipet, Hyderabad; & Challapalli, Krishna District. NTR Memorial Trust CEO- K. He addressed the gathering and mentioned that “we need to remember those who fought for and gave up their lives to free India from British rule. India’s freedom struggle was a hard-fought one and Independence Day is the day to renew the pledge to protect the unity and integrity of our Country”. He added that we should celebrate this day with silent prayers of thanks to our heroes and martyrs and all the Security Forces who made it possible for us to live in a free nation.At NTR Model school, Gandipet, Hyderabad, national flag was hoisted by COO-Education – Mr.Y. Mohan Rao attended the function. Teachers revered the importance of the day and supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and urged the students to become responsible citizens and prepare themselves to serve the Nation.Contingents of students displayed march past and saluted the National Flag and also organized cultural programmes and presented Tableaus depicting the traditions and culture of our Country on the occasion. NTR Educational Institutions School & College Principals besides all the Staff members and students attended the functions. Presentation of Tableaus, singing patriotic songs, speeches and felicitation were the highlights of the day.COO- Mr.Y.
